Sleepy Hollow Episode 2: Blood Moon (Or Dont Make Enemies With A Witch)

Ichabod Crane's dead wife (Katrina the good witch) comes to him in a vision. She says there is a bad witch that must be killed (or she will destroy the town). Her name is Cyrelda of Abbadon but we'll call her "Betty". She was burned at the stake in the 1700s and is now seeking revenge on the descendants of those who did the deed. Before she died, Betty has this to say "By the turn of the Blood Moon, the ashes of your ancestry will be mine. Their flesh will be my flesh. I will live again." So now we know where the title came from.

Betty seriously needs to step up her game. All she did was kill one guy, steal another guy's ashes and break the news to a little boy that he's adopted. Luckily Ichy and Abbie were able to dispatch her with some 250 year old gun powder.

I'm really enjoying this show so far. If you're looking for Shakespeare, look elsewhere. "Sleepy Hollow" reminds me of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer". It's meant to be light fluffy brain candy and is doing a great job of being entertaining.
Ichy's trying to figure out the modern conveniences (the shower, coffee maker and watching "Planet Of The Apes" on TV) was fun. Oh my God, the guy with his head on backwards (Officer Andy) was HILARIOUS! "What happened to our neck?" "It's hard to explain".

Points to ponder:

At first I was confused about what the witch has to do with the Four Horseman. But then Katrina said "Before the Four Horsemen can ride, an army of evil will make way for their arrival. The first dark spirit rises with the Blood Moon. She’s one of us. You must stop her before she kills again.” Mystery solved.
Why do all the bad guys on here (the demon and the witch) speak Greek? I thought they would speak ancient Aramaic or some other strange language.
I love that Officer Andy and Sheriff Corbin are back from the great beyond (Andy to work for the forces of evil and Corbin to dispense fatherly advice).
At the end of the episode we meet Abbie's sister, Jenny, who is a patient in a mental hospital. Of course we all know she's not psychotic. Her exercising reminds me of Sarah Conners in "Terminator".
