In 2043 the West Seven (including Deacon and Max) attack the facility. Ramses is shot and assumed killed. As the scabs break down the door, Jones tries to send Cole back to 2015. Instead he goes back two days.
Jimmy's Got A Gun
We learn about Ramse and Cole's relationship in the 2030s. They were scavengers but good guys-- even refusing to kill a dog in order to keep from starving. The Seven capture them. Ramse knows right away that Deacon is a loon but it takes Cole a while to determine that.. Deacon enjoys killing people. He pits Ramse and Cole against each other. Ramse refuses to kill Cole. But Cole comes to Ramse tent to off him. Thank goodness he doesnt.
Ramse Is Cole's Moral Compass
James wakes up two days before Jones sent him back. He had previously questioned how the Seven knew about the tunnels. It was him who told them. With his knowledge of what happens in "his" future, he is able to save Ramse, Jones and the facility. Max assists him. It seems they have feelings for each other. She stays at the facility but can she be trusted? I'm not sure. And you can bet we havent seen the last of Deacon.
Favorite Quotes:
- "We have to save the machine. Nothing else matters."- Jones to Cole as the scavengers attack.
- "I'm at Atari"- Ramse to Cole when he's about to be killed.
- "We do what we have to do"- Ramse to Cole.
- "It's James". "It's Katrina"- Cole and Jones revealing their first names to each other in what they think will be the last time they meet.
Grade: 3 3/4 Monsters (out of 5). "Atari" gave us some of the future's back story. We also know for certain that Ramse is a really good guy and Deacon is a really bad guy. Cassie was MIA for most of the episode. Side Note: The episode title "Atari" apparently comes from the board game and not the video game company.
