The TAU investigates the stalking of a high school basketball coach (Coach Baker). He was almost crushed by some folding bleachers. I'm afraid of those things! The team checks out possible culprits at the high school. That place is ripe with teenage drama. The initial suspect is Jenny. Jenny like Emmett. Emmett cheats on Jenny. Emmett gets hurt. Blah, blah, blah, I dont care. Jenny is of course not the stalker. It's NEVER the first person they check out. The real stalker is her best friend Alexis (who is actually 21 years old). Also Jenny's adoptive mother is Alexis' birth mother. OK, I'll admit I didnt see that one coming. But I did think Alexis was the culprit. It's always the best friend on this show.
Never Go Behind Automatic Bleachers
Ray and Perry are definitely an odd couple. Perry watches Ray sleep and buys him clothes. Stalking the stalker is great! Those two definitely need a bigger part on this show. Get rid of the rest of the garbage and show us them full time.
Please Call Me Abraham
Episode 16: Salvation
A woman (Isabel) is being terrorized by her ex (Oscar) against whom she has a restraining order. Her car is later surrounded by a number of creepy people. The TAU investigates. The culprit of course turns out not to be Oscar but is instead Abraham. He's the head guru at the Celestial Fellowship. Thirty two members live at the mansion. They survive by day trading and donations from wealthy patrons. Isabelle's next door neighbor Lucy is a secret member of the cult. They want Isabel's sizable inheritance ($5 million). Abraham is using an alias. He is really Robert Foster and is cuckoo. He knew Isabel as a child and has been obsessed with her every since. They go to the forest for a baptism and almost drown Isabel. The TAU arrives in the nick of time.
Wasted Potential
Amanda allows their son to go to Jack's house for a night of pizza and games. Beth checks on Isabel since she has no friends/family in LA. They have tea. Beth could use some friends too. Meanwhile Perry and Ray are still on the lam. They plan to off Janice and Jack so they can get closer to Beth. Instead Ray knocks Amanda unconscious. The episode ends with a long shot of Amanda on the ground. Next week she'll be held hostage by Ray.
Favorite Quotes:
- Coach Baker: "I see prejudgement on your face." Beth: "Nope that's just my face". I love that line and may have to use it myself.
- "You have too many rules...It's just that you're under the impression that you're in control here."- Ray to Perry after he punches him.
- "You should see your face. You look like you regret ever meeting me."- Ray to Perry.
- "We have to destroy her world. Make it so the only place she can turn to is us."- Ray to Perry about Beth.
Grade: 2 3/4 Monsters (out of 5). I keep complaining about this show but yet here I still am. The episodes are very cookie cutter. I keep hoping the threat of Team PerryRay will escalate but it's slow as molasses. If they dont speed it up Beth will die of old age before they make their move. The actors do any excellent job but dont have much to work with. It's a shame since there is potential here.
There are only two episodes to go this season so I'm trying to stick it out. Otherwise I would have already moved on. Is anyone out there watching and/or enjoying "Stalker"? Please leave your comments below.
