There Are No Rest Breaks During The Zombie Apocalypse!
In "Die Zombie, Die Again" we finally catch up with Mack and Addy. In fact it's ONLY about them this time around. Not that I'm complaining. They have been MIA for several weeks. Addy questions their relationship. They are together out of necessity but what what would become of them after the zombie apocalypse (if that should ever happen). She is still having flashbacks of some traumatic zombie event. The poor girl has PTSD.
It's "Z Nation's" version of Ground Hog Day so the same scene plays over and over again with slight variations. Mack encounters an Andre the Giant zombie dude. He gets killed over and over again in various ways. There's a snake, a bird, and a door.
This Dude Is Seriously Getting On My Last Nerve
We finally realize that is is Addy and not Mack that is dreaming. She is back in pre-zombie times. We know this because she's wearing her high school jacket and hasnt gone goth yet. A boy lays dying on the floor. It is Addys brother. Then Addy's zombie mother emerges from the shadows. Addy stabs her over and over again but she wont die. Addy doesnt know at that point that you have to stab zombies in the head to kill them.
In present day ZombieLand, Addy apologizes to Mack saying all this time she thought he was the one that had killed her mother (since she had no memories of it). They hug it out and will live to kill zombies another day.
Favorite Quotes:
- "Addison Grave Carver will you go out with me?"- Mack.
- "It's been a long apocalypse."- Mack.
Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). While I enjoyed seeing some of Addy's back story I think both "Z Nation" and "The Walking Dead" are more effective when they cover all the groups. Otherwise the story moves too slowly.
