"Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me" Recap In 10 Words Or Less: Sam dead, Wes killer, everyone involved, Annalise still in control.
Why Did I Ever Transfer To This School?
"How To Get Away With Murder" delivered on it's promise to reveal Sam's killer during the winter finale. The murderer is... wait for it... it's technically Wes (with Connor, Michaela, Laurel and Rebecca present). Dont tell me you guessed Wes cause ya probably didnt. My money was on Bonnie. And I still think she has a few screws loose. I bet she either killed Lila herself or was somehow involved with the murder.
There's A Whole Lotta Crazy Under That Sweater
Here's the specifics of what happened to Sam.
Annalise and Sam have a vicious (with a capital "V") fight. All he does is lie, lie, lie. Annalise confesses that she's seeing another man and he's better at sex than Sam. Sam pushes her against a wall and says she means nothing to him. She says "kill me, kill me, kill me" to egg him on but he eventually loosens his grip around her neck. She throws some clothes into a bag and leaves.
Michaela steals the statue from Asher and goes to Annalise's house. She refuses to leave (not knowing what has just transpired). Then Rebecca shows up. She yells "call Wes" and locks herself in the bedroom. Wes, Laurel and Connor arrive at the house. Wes tries to calm an intoxicated Sam down. Rebecca copies the contents of his laptop onto a thumb drive. Sam allows them to leave but then tackles Rebecca. A melee ensues. Sam ends up over the second floor railing and lands with a thud. Technically it was Michaela who pushed him when he went for Laurel. They all think he's dead.
Everyone Comes Unhinged
But of course he's not because...well only in the movies! Sam regains consciousness and starts to strangle Rebecca. Wes bashes him in the head with the statue. Now he's really dead. Everyone freaks and discusses what to do. Next stop is the woods to burn and bury him (which we've seen in previous episodes). And we're reminded that Michaela lost her engagement ring somewhere.
Bonnie snuggles up to a man at a bar. Does she want his semen to exonerate Sam? If so, that's pretty messed up man. Bonnie next calls Asher. When she arrives, she cuts right to business and they have sex.
Annalise sits outside the police station crying. But she doesnt go in. She drives to Nate's house instead. Nate's wife is back in the hospital. Annalise spills her guts to Nate about Sam (but of course she doesnt know he is dead yet)... Or does she? Nate and Annalise do the nasty. She calls Sam's phone several times (to establish an alibi IMHO). On the last call she eloquently lays out what they're meant to each other over the past 20 years. She says she'll always stand by him no matter what because she's his wife. It's a great speech but I'm not sure she means any of it.
Asher Better Be Thankful The Others Ignore Him.
He's The Only Person NOT Directly Involved In The Murder
Everyone else falls apart. A hysterical Connor goes to Oliver's house. He finally calms down and covers by saying he has a drug problem. Wes destroys Rebecca's USB drive. Laurel shows the statue to Frank. He says he'll take care of it. Bonnie tells Asher "this" never happened. Michaela gives the prenup agreement to her future mother in law. Annalise calls Bonnie looking for Sam. She says something terrible has happened. The Keating Five, Bonnie and Frank are all summoned to the office. The police are going to question them because Sam is missing.
Flashback to when Wes went back for the statue (before they moved the body). He says "Im so sorry" to DeadSam. Annalise replies with "dont be" and then "thank you". When did she get home? How much of the rest of the story is Annalise's scheming? If I've learned one thing from this show, it's everyone is working an angle.

- And my favorite from the season thus far "why is your penis on a dead girl's phone?"- Annalise to DeadSam.
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I've said it before but if Viola Davis does not win an Emmy, there is no justice in the world. Question about the pacing of the show though. Now that viewers know Wes killed Sam, will they continue to tune in after the break? We'll see when the next show airs on January 29, 2015.
