Lost Girl Episode 1 Recap: I Could Be A Kardashian! (Season Premiere)

Season 4 has FINALLY arrived. It aired previously in Canada on the Showcase channel. I tried not to sneak peaks of recaps on AfterEllen but it was hard to resist. Also the show has moved to the 8 ET time slot on SyFy so don't miss it.

I was really confused at the beginning of the episode. Dyson and Kenzi share some intimate moments and a kiss. Will we see more of Denzi in the future? I like them together. I thought they were just pretending they didn't know Bo to throw Aife (Bo's mother) off track. Don't trust that woman! But, as it turned out, everyone's memory was wiped. The tale tale sign is a Requardo coil in the eye. Now I understand what's going on.

Meanwhile Dyson does remember Tamsin and goes out to search for her daily. Vex (who is currently the Morrigan) has a big "In Memoriam" poster of Evony in his office (but she's not really dead, she's imprisoned behind the picture). Massimo the Druid is back and gives Kenzi another sparkly fix. Don't trust that man!

The gang must find a compass owned by Engleram (the Collector) and destroy it in order to get their memories back. So off to his party they go. And are my eyes deceiving me or is Jenny Schecter (Mia Kirshner) on this show now? Why, yes she is. Welcome Cleo the Nymph.

Anyway, Kenzi, Hale and Dyson perform a three way tango. I had not noticed how stunningly beautiful Ksenia Solo is. How could I miss such a thing? They win first prize and Kenzi gets to meet Engleram. Engleram turns out to be an Amphibean (a big ole worm) who plans to eat her. I just love George Takei even if he is playing an evil hungry snake. Oh my!

Everyone gets their memoirs back. Aife gets hers back just in time to try to kill Trick (her Daddy). Lauren regains hers too. She's a red headed waitress now. Per Kenzi she abandoned the Light Fae after the battle at Dr Taft's so is AWOL. And a glowing blue eyed Bo wakes up...somewhere.

Will we see the Una Mens (the Fae council) in the next episode? "They are coming. And they will be hungry." Who's not hungry on this show?

Episode 1: In Memoriam

A case of memory hits close to home in the Season 4 opener. At the same time, the new Morrigan intends on putting some past events permanently out of mind. Kenzi and Dyson are at the clubhouse and the two of them flirt and then kiss. When Kenzi and Dyson take on Aife (who they do not remember)'s case of her stolen memory, they soon learn that they too have had their memories stolen. They attend a dark fae ball to gain a compass that will regain their memories, and Kenzi dances a tango with both Hale and Dyson in order to attract a powerful fae's attention. She gains the compass and the gang's memories are restored, leaving them with full knowledge of Bo and her disappearence. Meanwhile, Bo wakes up on a strange train, unaware of where she is.

Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). I really enjoyed this episode and especially enjoyed seeing George Takei. More of him please! Full speed ahead Mr Sulu.
