The Happy Couple
It's finally time for the wedding of Monroe and Rosalee in the season 3 finale of "Grimm" entitled "Blond Ambition". And if you thought it would go smoothly, you havent been paying attention.
Adalind is up to no good as usual (cause that's what Hexenbiests do). Adalind calls Juliette and worries that Sean's obsession (with her) has returned. Juliette says she doesnt have time for such nonsense and leaves for an appointment. After inhaling some smoke through a witch's hat, Adalind transforms into Juliette and has sexy times with Nick. Dude, if your wife unexpectedly wants to do the humpty with you mid day, and its not your birthday, something fishy is up.
On the way to the wedding, Juliette accuses Nick of sleeping with another woman (since she saw lingerie on the floor). He says it wasnt another woman, it was Juliette. They finally figure out that Adalind is the culprit.
Meanwhile Trubel follows FakeJuliette out of her house and sees her change back into Adalind. Renard gives Trubel a potent that Nick must drink to prevent loss of his powers. Trubel hightails it over to the wedding to warn Nick. She arrives at the end of the ceremony and proceeds to freak out all the guests (since they're Wesen). A melee ensues and Nick's sunglasses are knocked off. No one reacts though... because Nick is indeed Grimm-less. To make things worse, the potent was destroyed when the Wesen attack Trubel. Hank helps everyone escape through a back window while Rosalee and Monroe head off the guests. I especially enjoyed the scene where Monroe's parents and Rosalee's sister guard the room where Nick and crew were hiding. Who knew they were all Wesen ninja?
Meanwhile Sergeant Wu sees the creature he encountered previously (an Aswang) in one of the Grimm reference books. Could someone please tell the poor man the truth?
Flash over to Sean who is not looking so well. It's probably because the FBI guy shot him. Coughing blood into an oxygen mask is always a bad sign. Meanwhile Adalind is on a plane thinking about her daughter Diana. She thinks the baby is with Prince Viktor of Austria. But nope, she's actually with Nick's mother, Kelly. Uh oh.
Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). A fun season finale. Sure this show is silly but it's good light entertainment. What will happen next season? Nick will probably deal with being Grimm-less for the first half. There will be relationship issues to work through with Juliette. What will Trubel do? Who's life with Adalind try to destroy next?
