The first episode of season 2 of "In The Flesh" aired this week on BBC America. Stay tuned for my season 1 overview a little later.
Season 2 starts with a bang when a group of PDS (Partially Deceased Syndrome) suffers inject Blue Obsidian and go into full zombie mode on a train. Ken is among those killed. Remember he was a member of the Human Volunteer Force. His PDS wife was shot and killed by the HVF in a very emotional scene during the show's premiere. RIP Ken!
Meanwhile Maxine is the new MP. She is a rep for the Victus party whose main platform seems to be "rotter hate". She is also trying to retrieve all the Roarton town records but I dont know why. She is with the vicar when he has a heart attack but doesnt bother to help him.
Kieren's sister Jem goes grocery shopping and has a flashback about when she saw Kieren there (in his "rabid" state). The siblings had previously made up but things are much more complicated.
Kieren wants to leave the UK but is worried about how he might be received elsewhere in Europe.
Amy and her new boyfriend Simon are back in Roarton. She is apparently is on a secret mission for the Undead Prophet. This cant be good. She's also an "out and proud" PDS sufferer. It may be just me but I'd keep my status on the down low. Instead Simon almost chocks out Gary at the pub. Way to keep a low profile undead people!
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). A great start to season 2. I may not review this show every week but will definitely keep watching. Stay tuned next week for fun quotes since there are so many. "Why should he have to move? He was born, breed and died here."- Shirley the PDS counselor.
