"Resurrection" finds Ethan rejoining the gang and we learn more about Victor's "first born". We may not get any answers in the near future but that's fine with me. I'm thoroughly enjoying the ride.

Most of the episode is spent on Frankenstein's back story. As a young boy he was forced to deal with his mother's death. This strengthened his resolve to overcome it. Unlike Proteus, Caliban's birth was not a peaceful one. It was agonizingly painful. He was abandoned by Victor and forced to find his own way in the world. He met a kindly older actor and got a job in the T-H-E-A-T-E-R. Now he's back and looking for love in all the wrong places. I must say, for a dead guy he is quite eloquent. I wish I had such an extensive vocabulary.

Ethan needs money to buy medicine for Brona so he's back to doing night work. The gang is off to the London Zoo to look for the creature who has Mina. Malcolm is using Vanessa as bait. Vanessa doesnt seem to mind that much. Ethan appears to be a "wolf whisperer" when he puts his hand inside a wolf's mouth. Who doesnt think he's a werewolf at this point? I'm going to try that technique with the next dog I see. I'll report back. They encounter a strange boy (Fenton) who's eating monkey parts and droning on about his "master" and Amunet and Amu-Ra. He knows Vanessa's name for some reason. Give that kid an electronic device so he'll start ignoring everyone like normal teenagers. After slapping monkey boy around for a while, the group pledges allegiance to each other. They will continue their work no matter what. What do you think will happen next week? I cant wait to see Vanessa's back story.

Grade:4 Monsters (out of 5). While "Resurrection" is slower in pace than the first two episodes, I still enjoyed learning of Victor and Caliban's back story. Poor Caliban needs some anger management classes. I wonder what he was like before he died?
