The last two episodes were pretty much sci fi's version of Law and Order. They must catch the bad guys. First they're thrown off track. Then they get other clues and wrap it up just in time.
Some of my favorite tech of "Almost Human"
- 3D human printers, from "Straw Man"
- Chromes- made-to-order humans- I don't think we know the specifics of this yet, Detective Stahl is a Chrome
- 3D drug printers- can to made to interact with the specific genetic makeup of Chromes
- Food/ vitamin dispensers- pricks your finger to see what you"re short on, from "Straw Man"
- Home security systems that can protect you or accidentally decide you're an intruder and kill you
- Death by drone- unfortunately this is real
- DNA bombs
- Face maker devices
- Dorian- why try to improve on perfection, up with DRNs, down with MXs
- High tech prosthetic limps- like Kennex's leg
- Black market body parts that have expiration dates-- eeek
- There are lots of others that I didn't mention

Episode 12: Beholder
After a healthy chrome is reported to have died from natural causes, Detective Stahl suspects foul play. Upon futher investigation, they find that the dead chrome has the DNA of seven other victims all with good looking facial features. Kennex and Dorian are called in to track down a serial killer (Michael Eklund) who has been using a nanobot surgical system to take facial features from his victims and transferring them to his face for the woman that he loves. Kennex makes a move and is about to ask Detective Stahl out for a drink, only to find out that he is too late.
Kennex and Dorian revisit the past when a string of murders are similar to those committed by a serial killer who was put in jail by Kennex's father. Elsewhere, Dorian gets his first performance review after being reactivated.
Grade: 3 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). A solid first season. Will they be back for a second? I would like to see more about the wall and interactions between the main players.
