If Only I Had A Brain!
This week's episode was again split between FTL (Fairy Tale Land) in the past and Storeybrooke in the present. "The Tower" opens with Charming having a nightmare in which Emma tells him he failed her as a father. I would like to point out that he failed her not once, but TWICE. Off he goes to the forest to find some night root to calm his nerves. Why not just drink like everyone else?Charming comes across a tower in the forest. He scaled it via a hair rope ladder and surprise! There is Rapunzel. She tells him she cant leave because she's held captive by a faceless witch. She's also afraid she won't live up to her parents expectations... blah, blah. I don't care. Just then the hooded creature (from "The Ring") heads up the wall.
Back to present day. Dont worry you'll see more of The Ring Dude in Storeybrooke soon enough. Over at the Rumple Bunker, Zelena Nolan gives him an uncomfortable shave. I previously thought Rumple was WW's father but, from the story she told, that looks like a big fat "no". Next Zelena feeds roofies to David (well it's actually night root from Gold's safe). Is that like ginseng? And why are witches always trying to steal people's babies? I do not understand it. Why not take their cash and credit cards instead?
Charming is in the woods again. He fights the faceless witch from the tower (who turns out to be David himself). Once he says he's afraid he wont be a good father etc, the witch disappears. Whatever, I dont really care if David beats himself up. Regina tells Charming the Witch has captured his courage in his sword and will use it against them later. So looks like Zelena is going to reenact "The Wizard Of Oz" at some point.
Flashback to the Tower where David said the same stuff about not being afraid to Rapunzel. She is reunited with her family. Snow and Regina are there. How lovely. Flashback to present day. Emma, Regina, David and Hook find the cellar where Rumple was held captive but he has escaped (I think). And end episode.
