The best scene is the racist Madame LaLaurie (who was buried alive in a box for 180 years) watching Barrack Obama on television. "That magic box lies.. it says that a Negro is President of the United States.....LIES!!!!" That made me laugh out loud. I just love Kathy Bates.
Other happenings:
- A mother (Joan Ramsey played by the fabulous Patti Lupone) and son (Luke) move in next door. They are Bible thumpers. Madison and Nan have the hots for the son so they take a cake to their house. Words are exchanged. Madison uses her magical powers to set fire to their curtains.
- Zoe takes FrankenKyle away from Misty (who wasn't happy) and back to his mother. We think she is grieving because she loves him so much. Actually it's because she had been molesting him from an early age. She does it yet again and notices his "parts" aren't his own. He bashes her head in with a trophy. The molestation scene was definitely icky. I didn't mind him bashing her head in.
- Fiona knows her beauty and ability to attract men is fading. She visits a plastic surgeon (who says she's ineligible for surgery due to her cancer).
- Since LaLaurie is such a bigot, Fiona makes her the maid. Ha!!!! When she has words with Queenie, Fiona makes her Queenie's personal slave. Talk about justice.
- And in the other cringe worthy scene, it appears Queenie and Bull Guy may have sex. And if ya don't understand who Bull Guy is, you'd have to watch the first episode. It's hard to explain. Poor Queenie. She is in desperate need of love and companionship.
- Delia finds out she can't get pregnant so goes to see Madame Laveau (who is chilling on her bone throne playing ipad solitaire). Marie says to give her $50,000 and she'll work some crazy voodoo magic (which involves a hot pepper, bleeding goat, new moon and some semen). But not so fast. Delia is the daughter of her sworn enemy so no help here.
- Fiona fears Madison is the new Supreme so she accidentally-on-purpose slits her throat (just like she did Anna Leigh). She instructs the butler to bury Madison deep. Spaulding will never tell because he has no tongue. Odds are she's the cause. And from the previews it looks like Madison will be back from the dead. Let's hope she doesn't end up like FrankenKyle.
Favorite Quotes:
- "Bring us your husband's baby gravy in a jar"- Laveau to Delia.
- "You just wanted love, and that makes you a beast. They called me that, too, but that's not who we are."- Queenie to the Minotaur.
- This coven doesn't need a new Supreme, it needs a new rug- Fiona
Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). Yes some of it was difficult to watch. But it still is crazy fun. I have enough faith in Ryan though to hang on till more (or all) is revealed.
