Episode 3 "Quite A Common Fairy" opens with our gang trying to find Tinkerbell (since she'll apparently knows how to find Pan's camp). I'm not sure how she was involved with PP previously. He seems kinda young for her. Anyway, Regina keeps pushing to use magic instead but she is shot down by everyone else. It seems she has a "complicated" history with Tinkerbell.
Meanwhile back in FTL (Fairy Tale Land), Regina accidentally-on-purpose falls but is saved by Tinkerbell (AKA Green). And now a moment of silence in appreciation of Regina in her long white gown. Please give her costume designers all the awards on the planet immediately!
Tinkerbell goes against the wishes of the Blue Fairy and tries to use pixie dust to help Regina find her soul mate. Regina becomes afraid and never goes to meet the man with the dragon tattoo. Why? Because Cora taught her that "love is weakness" and she cant have any weakness. Since she went against orders to help Regina, Green is stripped of her fairyness. Blue says "I stopped believing in you". How crushing.
In NNL, Regina sends the group ahead and Tinkerbell captures her. She has lost her wings and is looking pretty rough. We'll call her Brown from now on. She plans to kill Regina. Regina rips out her own heart and gives it to Brown. She tells her to do what she must but if she kills Regina she will become like her. There was so much chemistry between the two that I expected them to kiss at some point.. but I digress.
Meanwhile Neal/Baelfire is still trying to get to NNL (Never Never Land). He's looking for any magic beans, mirrors, or ruby slippers (hello "Wizard of Oz"). When there are none to be found, they use Robin Hood's small son to summon the Shadow. When he leaves, Neal grabs onto his foot and holds on for dear life.
Robin Hood asks Mulan to join his band. She says she must speak with "a loved one" first. Mulan goes to tell Aurora but Aurora also has news. She and Philip are having a baby. I read this as Mulan is in love with Aurora. However, some fans think she is in love with Prince Philip instead. So who knows. Anyway, Mulan goes to join Robin Hood's group and we see that he has... wait for it... he is the man with the lion tattoo. Robin Hood is Regina's soul mate. Get outta town. Regina better not screw this up (but I'm guessing she will)!
Charming had planned to use Tinker Bell's "nuclear pixie dust" to heal his wound but she doesn't have any. Oh no! What will happen now? Have no fear, he is a main character and will not die. Dude, just tell your wife. It's not like she's not going to find out anyway sooner or later.
Pan tells Henry is the "Truest Believer" (not be be confused with "Truest Belieber") and the person to bring magic back. Pan says he's just like his father. Do you trust Pan's motives? I definitely do NOT. Meanwhile Neal (Henry's father) plummets to the island and is greeted by one of the Lost Boys. Do we care about this story line? Two letter word, first letter is "n", last letter is "o".
And where is Rumple? Is he still wandering around the island with that doll?

- "The darkness likes how you taste." -Rumple to a young Regina. That sounded dirty to me.
Grade: 4 1/2 Monsters (out of 5). This was a great episode with lots of good one liners. I never thought we'd ever see a gay/bisexual character on a Disney show. Mulan, you go girl! And I cant wait for Regina and Robin Hood to hook up (although I'm still firmly shipping Swan Queen). Anything that helps Regina to get more air time is a very good thing.
