Dire circumstances require desperate measures- Tara
Nero's transexual friend (Venus Van Dam) returns and needs SAMCRO's help to save her "nephew" Joey from her crazy mother Alice (who is running a child porn ring). Alice is played by the fabulous Adrienne Barbeau. Venus is played by Walton Goggins (who looks much better as a woman than a man).
Joey is actually Venus' son (from back when she was Vincent). Gemma is sympathetic and gets the guys to help. This is an interesting plot but lets face it. Motorcycle gang members would not be willing to help in real life. Venus would probably pay the ultimate price if she spent any time around them. Anyway back to the story. During a fun car chase Venus shows her expertise with a shotgun. Don't make that woman mad. They catch up with Alice (who has drugged Joey). Jax shots Alice in the head. Game over. And it looks like Tig has the hots for Venus. That should be interesting.
If you missed the last 10 minutes, you missed the best part. I have spent all season trying to figure out what Tara is up to. Turns out she faked her pregnancy (which we all already thought). While alone with Gemma she threw herself against a table and, thanks to a cleverly placed blood pack, voila-- instant miscarriage! Now Gemma is going to the Big House (maybe). Tara gets Jax to sign a restraining order against his mom. I guess we're supposed to ignore that the doctor will know after examining Tara that it's all a big LIE! Will this ploy work though? It requires Wayne, Wendy and Margaret to keep their mouths shut.
In other somewhat related news:
- The DA is trying to get Nero to testify against the club.
- The guys are hanging out in their new clubhouse (ie the malt shop). I would not let my child go in there for an ice cream.
- Ratboy gets patched.
- Clay is MIA this episode. Did you miss him? I didn't.
Grade: 4 Monsters (out of 5). I think episode 7 was the best thus far this season. I have found the rest of the season to be pretty boring.
